Tales of Bollywood – Movie 2.12. 17.30 Uhr
Diesmal wird es romatisch und musikalisch beim dritten Bollywood Film “Devdas – Flamme unserer Liebe” Los geht´s am Montag 2.12. ab 17.30 Uhr im Raum der Stille. Eine Aktivität im Rahmen des Stipendiums “Aktiv für Andere”.

This is what is going to be shown for the third Event. This time its the movie Devdas. A 2002 Indian romantic drama film, directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali and based on the 1917 Sharat Chandra Chattopadhyay novella Devdas.
This is the third Hindi version and the first film version of the story in Hindi done in colour. The film follows Devdas (Shahrukh Khan), a wealthy law graduate, who returns from his studies in London to marry his childhood sweetheart, Paro (Aishwarya Rai). However, the rejection of this marriage by his own family sparks his descent into alcohol, ultimately leading to his emotional deterioration.
It was ranked #74 in Empire magazines “The 100 Best Films Of World Cinema” in 2010. Time Magazine named Devdas as the best movie of 2002 among all the movies released around the world in 2002. It was declared a hit in India by Box Office India and won the Filmfare Award for Best Film. The film also won five National Awards.

Für das dritte Event wird den Film “Devdas – Flamme unserer Liebe” gezeigt. Ein indisches romantisches Drama aus 2002, unter der Regie von Sanjay Leela Bhansali, auf der Grundlage von 1917 Sharat Chandra Chattopadhyay Novelle “Devdas”.
Der Film folgt Devdas (Shahrukh Khan), ein wohlhabender Jurist, der von seinem Studium in London zurückgekommen ist, um seine Jugendliebe, Paro (Aishwarya Rai) zu heiraten. Doch diese Ehe wird von seiner eigenen Familie abgelehnt und führt in zum Abstieg in den Alkohol.
Es war Nummer 74 von Empire Magazine “Die 100 besten Filme des World Cinema” im Jahr 2010 rangiert. Time Magazine nannte Devdas als den besten Film des Jahres 2002 unter allen Filmen auf der ganzen Welt in diesem Jahr. Es wurde als ein Hit in Indien von Box Office Indien angegeben und gewann den Filmfare Award für den besten Film. Der Film gewann auch fünf nationale Auszeichnungen.
